I submitted a manuscript!

I was talking about this a month or two ago and I finally built up the courage to turn my short story into a manuscript.

Usually we talk about already published works but I’m pretty excited about this. I spent all of my downtime today working on the manuscript and I submitted it about ten minutes ago! Fingers crossed everyone, I’m pretty proud of this particular piece of fiction.

Have a good evening everyone ❤️

  1. Lately i’m really in blunder with words and discouraged far worse from busy schedule and not-so-good writing feedbacks. Have you had been in this situation? What would you do to cater, if you mind sharing? Thanks a lot

    1. I have been in this situation. I actually just went through this with the manuscript I sent off. I had people tell me they were going to give me the best feedback and then never got back to me. I ended up just reading and rereading until I felt confident in it, and talking it over with my family and fiancé. It’s better to have experienced writers to lean on, but if you can’t get that the people close to you are a good resource to bounce ideas off of.
I also just started working again and have a one year old son, it’s been exhausting. I inspired myself to keep going by reading books, short stories, flash fiction, and even watching movies in the same genre as I’m writing. It helped me to stop the writers block and gave me ideas on where to go next. I had to force myself to stay up way past my bedtime some nights just to keep the ideas flowing. It really is a sacrifice and you just have to figure out where and when you have time to write.
